PHA - Chapter 154 - The Hero Is in Your Village

"Have we still not found Filia?"

Two days had passed since the negotiations with the demons. While looking at the elders in the conference room with a serious expression, Patriarch Elway posed the question he had been seeking an answer to during these past two days.

Unfortunately, the several elders in the room shook their heads in response, expressing their failure to locate Filia. Although they had already tasked people with searching for Filia throughout the village and the Elven Forest, none of them had found any traces of Filia.

Of course, while they might have searched the village and its surroundings already, the only place they didn't search was the Nature Shrine. After all, there was nothing special in the Nature Shrine, and Filia had no reason whatsoever to stay there for several days. This was also a point Alice had considered, which was why she dared to study the elves' taboos inside the Nature Shrine. In addition, the Nature Shrine was a relatively unpopular secret location for the elves, so nobody would visit it under normal circumstances.

"Ha… To think she would disappear during the time we need her the most… I'm going to have to lecture her about this when she gets back," Patriarch Elway said, sighing. The demons might not have initiated an attack on the Elven Forest thus far, but there was no doubt that they would feel safer if they could have Filia by their side. "Is there any movement from the demon's side?"

"Not at all. They are really just waiting for us to hand over the Seeds of Nature. None of the demon soldiers has set foot into the forest," an elder said, shaking his head with a confused expression on his face. He couldn't understand why the demon army would behave so peacefully. "Some of our youngsters have even started chatting with the demon soldiers… Moreover, by the looks of it, they seem to be chatting quite happily."

"Nonsense! Those are demons we are talking about!"

Novel Notes
