The Defeated Saintess Is On A Journey To Tame The Evil God Book 01 Chapter 03.12 - Good Sunny Days

At the Training Grounds outside the West Tower, new students sat on rows of benches, eagerly waiting for the spectacle to unfold.

At this moment, Young Master Noble Sunlight was waving his wand, searching for the location of the string of fire in the air, preparing for the upcoming duel.

Standing opposite him, Xing Mo looked deflated and seemed to have no fighting spirit.

How should this go down... if we really fight... what if I end up knocking him out in an instant?

It may attract unnecessary attention...

Should I let the kid beat me up, then collapse on the ground and have my eyes roll back, and then be ridiculed by him?

That's really upsetting. Who would want to be bullied by some brat?

Xing Mo was troubled. Upon seeing this, Aurora laughed into her hand and said: "You should have let that big fireball explode. Wouldn't it have been fun to see that young master's annoying face turn charcoal black?"

"But then the other students would have been hurt." Xing Mo furrowed her delicate eyebrows.

"Oh~ Young Saintess, you are such a kind servant of an Evil God~" Aurora laughed.

As the two conversed, Noble Sunlight seemed to have finished his preparations.

He took off his robe and threw it into the air, and the fluttering black robe ignited and turned into a ball of fire.

As the other students exclaimed, he put his hands together, the wand between his palms, and shouted: "Archangel Saint Auroth, send down your blessing from the Starsea, bestow upon me the power of the sun!"

His voice was imposing, his posture devout. At this moment, the sunlight coming from above the sky dome seemed more dazzling.

The sunlight cascaded on Noble's chiseled face, imbuing him with a touch of a divine aura. Some of the female students cried out, swooning over him.

Aurora turned and laughed into her hand: "I... I can sense his prayer... pu-ha-ha-ha... he is praying to me... asking me to give him the power of the sun... ha-ha-ha..."

Xing Mo was taken aback, then burst out laughing, unable to hold back.

It suddenly occurred to her... the prayer to Saint Auroth had been intercepted by Aurora.

The guy thought he was praying to the Sun Angel. But in reality, he was praying to a "Fallouan refuge who likes to surrender."

What was he praying for? The power of surrender?

When Noble saw Xing Mo suddenly burst out laughing, an intense anger tinged his face: "You! You dare disrespect my God!"

Noble waved his wand, and the Dagger of Light ejected out from the void and shot toward Xing Mo.

Xing Mo got a bit serious and waved her wand, and Star Blaze flew out of the wand's tip and swallowed the dagger.

The two began to continuously release string magic. As if musicians playing against one another on stage, string notes sounded and collided together, accompanied by flames.

The back-and-forth battle made the students on the viewing stage boil with excitement, igniting their passion. Soon someone began to organize a cheer: "Young Master Noble! You got this! Young Master Noble! You got this! Young Master Noble! You got this! Young Master Noble! You got this!"

Listening to the cheering, Noble's fighting spirit flared up, and he smiled fiercely and bellowed: "I am a servant of Sun Angel! My piety shall turn into a blazing sun and tear your vanity and pride asunder!"

As he prayed, Xing Mo heard Aurora behind her laughing even louder.

Is this young master... sick in the head? What's with all this talking? Does he think Saint Auroth answers prayers individually?

Xing Mo wiped her forehead, pretending to be a bit tired.

In fact, she hadn't even exerted one-tenth of her strength.

Alright... let's knock him out... since things have developed this far... I must settle...

As she thought to herself, Xing Mo skillfully turned her wand and accurately hit three strings in a row.

Ding—

Dong—

Dang—

The Inverse String Score took effect, and the string magic released by Noble dissipated in the air.

Shock flashed in his eyes. But before he could snap out of it, Xing Mo played another three strings—

Buzz—

She leaped forward, dragging fiery feathers of light behind her. In an instant, a scorching wind accelerated her speed to the extreme, and she reached in front of Noble in the blink of an eye.

Three string magic, Lightfeather Rush.

Noble finally reacted. However, he didn't know how to respond. After all, Wizards usually fought from a distance, which was more suitable for releasing string magic.

Why is this girl charging forward?

Is it some close combat magic? Not... Not good! I must...

At that moment, Noble's decision was: to use magic to repel Xing Mo!

But just as his wand touched the first string, he was greeted by a knifehand strike—

Bomp!

Noble's vision turned dark. He was knocked to the ground and lost consciousness.

In front of him, Xing Mo swung her arm and bowed elegantly to the nearby audience.

The students on the viewing stage were struck dumb. They came to see "Young Master Noble teach the rude girl a lesson." But unexpectedly, the girl felled the young master with a knifehand strike.

This was as absurd as Fallouans suddenly not surrendering.

However, the truth was right before their eyes. Whispers began to rise from the viewing stage. Xing Mo heard a couple of sentences.

"It suddenly feels like she has more charm than Young Master Noble... so beautiful..." The speaker was a girl who had previously been swooning over Noble.

Is this what they call playing the pig to eat the tiger... The corners of Xing Mo's mouth twitched.

Clap, clap, clap.

Professor Ling, who had been watching the battle from the sidelines, clapped her hands. She strode over and nodded approvingly at Xing Mo: "That was a fantastic idea. Because both sides are of the same rank and of the string of fire, a stalemate ensued. Therefore, in order to break the stalemate, you chose to seize the opportunity to engage in close combat."

"This was an excellent decision. Beautifully done."

That's not it, Professor Ling... I was just afraid I might accidentally hit him too hard and take him down in an instant...

Although Xing Mo thought this in her heart, but she still plastered a smile on her face and nodded: "This is something I learned from you, Professor Ling."

"Hmm? This is our first class, isn't it?" Professor Ling furrowed her brow, "Have I taught you before?"

"That... that's what you taught in class just now." Xing Mo panicked, "You said... 'as long as your imagination allows it, you can create the most magnificent symphony in the world.' By focusing on imagination, I connected string magic with physical attack, striking a reasonable balance."

Ling nodded thoughtfully and patted Xing Mo on the shoulder: "Xing Sheng, right? You are a brave and talented child. If you study hard, you will surely achieve great things in the future."

She glanced at Aurora next to Xing Mo, and her eyes became more serious. She clearly still hadn't forgotten what happened during the entrance test.

"Learn from your sister, okay? And don't cause trouble."

"Ah... um... oh..." Aurora pretended to be shy.

At this moment, the bell indicating the end of class rang. Professor Ling clapped her hands and turned to look at the students: "Alright, I believe you have witnessed first hand the marvel of string magic duel. Except for Noble and Xing Sheng, everyone else is to write a parchment-length report analyzing the strategy of the two and the practical application of string magic in combat. Submit the assignment by courier before next Monday."

The viewing stage filled with sighs. The students evidently weren't thrilled about the homework.

Xing Mo breathed a long sigh of relief. At last... this matter has come to an end.

This might attract the attention of other students. I need to find a way to become invisible again.

As Xing Mo was contemplating this, her eyes narrowed slightly. Se suddenly felt an intense sense of danger.

She turned and found that Noble was already up, flames burning in his eyes.

In the next moment, a huge fireball burst out of nowhere and crashed toward Xing Mo.

Damn it! This guy!

Xing Mo raised her wand. She was about to launch a counterattack, when a cold female voice sounded: "Step back."

Five strings were played at the same time, and the fireball imploded, confined to a narrow space.

A flame fell from the sky and stopped between Xing Mo and Noble.

A graceful and elegant figure emerged from the raging flame, long fiery red hair fluttering in the wind.

Seeing the figure's back, Xing Mo was stunned.

That's Senior Alice.
