Special District 9 Chapter 4: Go, Ol’ Three

Qin Yu was initially uninterested in the four guys and one woman, but after hearing Old Cat’s words, he glanced at the windows seat with his peripheral vision and noted that the four men were all wearing fleece jacket, work pants, and a pair of worn-out leather boots. They were silently keeping a lookout at their surroundings, and their skin seemed to be little tinged red.

“They don’t appear to be from the Special District,” Qin Yu said with a lowered head.

“How can you tell?” Old Cat asked curiously.

“They are wearing too thick, and there are frostbites on their body,” Qin Yu pointed out sharply. “They seem to be fixers from the Development District.”

“What are fixers?”

“Those who make a living out of fiddling knives and guns,” Qin Yu scratched his nose.

Those words deflated Old Cat’s confidence by a little, “Then if the two of us blindly charge in and wrestle with them, do you think we can win?”

“Did you bring your gun?” Qin Yu asked.

“Why the hell would I bring my gun out to eat?” Old Cat shook his head.

“Then we shouldn’t make a move yet,” Qin Yu pondered for a moment before adding, “Give a call to the platoon.”

While the two of them were communicating with one another, the four men had already stood up together with the woman, and they were starting to make their way toward the counter to foot their bill.

“Shit, they are leaving!” Old Cat’s hand was trembling as he picked up his wine cup, and he was so nervous that he was starting to get a little incoherent. “Should we tail them?”

“Do you have Wind-and-fire Wheels like Nezha?” Qin Yu replied speechlessly. “They drove here! Are you going to chase them on your legs? You are kidding me!”

“Damn, I forgot about that…”

Qin Yu discreetly glanced at those four men as he added on with a slight furrow on his forehead, “If those four fixers have something on, they would have all sorts of things on them. We won’t be able to stop them even if we leap out now.”
