By the stairway, Qi Lin pushed Qin Yu away as he spoke with an anxious voice, “Can’t you just ignore this matter? Treat it as if you haven’t seen anything before and let me go…”

“Qi Lin, you should know what kind of person I am. I wouldn’t even be doing this if it wasn’t you!” Qin Yu said with a grim expression as he thrust his finger toward Qi Lin’s chest. “Can you just calm down a little? Ah Long is a target the headquarters has specifically named. Even if you use your ass to think, do you think that you’ll really be able to save him from the hands of the Police Bureau? What will happen to your mother if something happens to you? What will happen to your little sister? What will happen to your wife? You don’t want your job and your family more, huh?”

Qi Lin was silent for a moment as sweat began trickling down his cheek. With an anxious voice, he replied, “It’s not entirely hopeless. It hasn’t been long since Ah Long arrived, and he’ll be transferred by latest tomorrow morning… I know some people over at the headquarters. I can find a way to acquire the route. With my identity, it’ll be much easier to make a move. You just need to turn a blind eye to this.”

“I don’t get it. What is Ah Long to you? Why do you have to go through such danger for him?” Qin Yu asked in incomprehension. “Do you have some under the table dealing with him, or did you accept his money?”
