PBS - Chapter 2013 - The Heaven-Protecting Gate

The hearts of the cultivators skipped a beat.

The land began to shake vigorously as strong gusts of wind surged in all directions. Lightning strikes descended fiercely, dying everything purple-white.

The spear Chigu pulled itself out of the ground and headed straight at Qin Nan.

It was incredibly huge, more than a hundred thousand zhang long, but it shrunk rapidly every inch it was closer to Qin Nan. It was only two zhang long when it arrived before him.

Qin Nan was not surprised at all. He already knew he could summon the spear Chigu to him when he tried to communicate with it previously.

Qin Nan stared at the icy black spear for a few moments. He reached his hand out and grabbed it.

The Divine Battle Spirit and the magnificent figure of the Lord of All Worlds emerged from his back on their own. Their ancient auras and overwhelming battle intents were ten times stronger than before.

Meng Jiugong's eyes widened.

He was the closest to Qin Nan, thus he clearly sensed an imperious aura coming out of Qin Nan as if he had undergone some ancient transformation!

Qin Nan swung the spear around. The shocking rare phenomena dissipated into thin air. He looked at Lu Qingyin and said, "Do you still want to pick on me now?"

Lu Qingyin's expression sank with her heart.

In addition to her, Xiang Tianqi, Nie Wufeng, the five rebels, and the rest of the Exceptional Geniuses and Peerless Rulers had dark expressions on their faces too.

That being said, they too were not too surprised by the outcome, as they had long predicted it.

Lu Qingyin's expression soon recovered. She said calmly, "Qin Nan, there's no point to intimidate us with it. It is no longer as powerful as it used to be."

"Besides, if I'm not mistaken, the unusual phenomenon deep inside the Death Zone and the sudden appearance of Chigu must be something that the fifth successor had prepared in advance in the past. He wants you to use the remaining power of the spear to break something, right?"
