It was pretty obvious why the three core disciples had shown up.

Changkong immediately transmitted a thought to Qin Nan, "Junior Brother Qin, this young man is You Hong, he's Immortal Emperor Duling's son. The man and woman beside him are..."

He added after explaining who the three cultivators were, "I heard Immortal Emperor Duling has long planned to give the Dark Underworld Wood to his son so he could achieve the Greater Success Stage of the Dao Realm."

He fell silent after finishing the sentence. He did not seem to have the intention to resolve the situation for Qin Nan.

After all, Immortal Emperor Duling was his master's Junior Brother, thus it was not appropriate for him to intervene in his business. Besides, he was not particularly close to Qin Nan. He was not obliged to help him.

Qin Nan immediately came to a realization. The explanation had cleared his doubts.

It explained why Immortal Emperor Duling was holding a grudge against him, and why You Hong and his friends had shown up to trouble him.

Although he was quite displeased by the attitude of the three core disciples and Immortal Emperor Duling, he would not be pleased too if he was in their shoes.

However, before he could finish, the muscular bloke called Cheng Fang let out a hollow laugh and said, "Who's your Senior Brother? Stop acting like you're close to us! Qin Nan, stop wasting our time. The Dark Underworld Wood is Senior Brother You's. You better hand it over at once!"

You Hong patted on Qin Nan's shoulder and said with a calm smile, "Qin Nan, Cheng Fang isn't that good at expressing himself, thus he might sound a little harsh. However, he's right that I need the Dark Underworld Wood."

"Your Dao Foundation has been destroyed. It wouldn't make any difference even if you refine the Dark Underworld Wood. It's better to give it to me. Don't you worry, I will definitely repay your kindness."
