Necromancer: I Am A Disaster Chapter 26 - Goblin King; Frightening Blade Strike

As Lin Moyu walked through the tunnel, a nauseating stench assaulted his senses, forcing him to cover his nose. The tunnel stretched 1,000 meters, lined with open iron gates, revealing nothing but emptiness inside—every wolf had been eliminated.

At the tunnel's end lay a vast mining pit, over 1,000 meters in diameter, appearing bottomless. A winding passage encircled the pit, teeming with Goblin-type monsters clad in armor and wielding large blades. Moving in pairs, they patrolled the area.

[Goblin Elite Warrior (enhanced elite monster)]

[Level: 15]

[Strength: 900]

[Agility: 800]

[Spirit: 400]

[Physique: 900]

Their attributes were much lower than those of the leader monster, with none exceeding 1,000 points, they were no threat to Lin Moyu. He waved his hand, and his skeletal army surged into the mining pit. Faced with the torrent of Skeletal Warriors, the enhanced elite monsters were quickly overwhelmed and were killed one by one.

[Killed level 15 Goblin Elite Warrior, EXP +4,500]

[Obtained beast bone x6]

The notifications streamed in continuously. Under Lin Moyu’s command, the monsters in the pit were swiftly wiped out. These enhanced elite monsters, although strong, provided substantial EXP and valuable materials, making them high-quality targets. Compared to ordinary monsters, hunting here was far more efficient.

“Soloing hell-rank dungeons should yield even more EXP.” He mused.

Anyone who heard this would likely scoff. In the history of the human race, no one had ever soloed a hell-rank dungeon. Some extraordinary individuals had soloed nightmare rank dungeons, earning a place in the annals of history. But hell rank? That was considered a death sentence—everyone who attempted it never returned.

Lin Moyu proceeded down the passage without hindrance; every monster had already been cleared. Reaching the bottom of the mining pit, he noted his EXP had reached 99%. Just one more step, and he’d level up.

At this point, only the boss remained in the entire dungeon.

“Once I defeat the boss, I should be able to reach level 12.” He calculated.

It had barely been an hour since he entered the dungeon, and he’d already reached this point and had leveled up more than once. This efficiency far exceeded his expectations. With a few more dungeon runs, let alone level 16, he might even reach level 18 or level 19. By then, entering Xiajing Academy will be a breeze.

"Sister, we will meet again soon." Lin Moyu thought of Lin Mohan, a rare smile crossing his face.

The dungeon’s boss rested at the center of the mine pit, its massive chest rising and falling as its breathing thundered in the empty mining pit, creating powerful gusts of air that nearly knocked Lin Moyu off balance. The boss appeared oblivious, as if in deep meditation—but it was merely sleeping.

The Detection spell surged like a gentle breeze.

[Goblin King (boss monster)]

[Level: 16]

[Strength: 3,000]

[Agility: 1,500]

[Spirit: 1,500]

[Physique: 3,000]

[Skills: Flame Spout, Swipe, Shock.]

Its attributes weren’t too far off from the Mine Wolf King’s, with strength and physique being slightly higher. Lin Moyu believed his Skeletal Warriors could handle it one-on-one.

The Goblin King’s eyes snapped open, awakened by the Detection spell. With a roar, it leaped up and swung its massive blade at Lin Moyu, the air around it howling with pressure. Lin Moyu stood still, his eyes calm, even a touch derisive, as the blade halted 10 centimeters from his body, blocked by an invisible force.

Skill: Damage Transfer.

All damage aimed at Lin Moyu was redirected to his summons.

But something was wrong. Lin Moyu’s brow furrowed—his Skeletal Warriors were all injured. Their soul fire flickered violently, and the sheen of their bones dimmed, cracks appearing across them.

"How can this be?" Lin Moyu muttered, clearly puzzled.

He was rarely taken aback. Even in the face of a massive blade, he hadn’t flinched. Last night, despite it being his first time killing someone, he had remained calm. To him, killing people was no different from killing monsters.

It wasn’t that he was cold-blooded. His sister had previously told him to stay calm and collected no matter the situation. In times of danger, remaining calm was the key to survival.

He quickly retreated as the Skeletal Warriors surged toward the Goblin King, forming a protective barrier in front of him.

Skill: Berserk Strike!

The Skeletal Warriors unleashed their skill one after another, delivering powerful attacks to the Goblin King and inflicting tremendous damage. The Goblin King's flesh was quickly lacerated.

Under the relentless assault, the Goblin King switched targets and began attacking the Skeletal Warriors. Lin Moyu retreated, reflecting on what had just occurred.

The effect of Damage Transfer was to transfer the damage he received to his summons, with the damage distributed evenly among them. He suddenly understood why the Skeletal Warriors were so severely injured—his low attributes were to blame.

With only 120 points in physique, his defense was too weak. Against the Goblin King's 3,000 points of strength, the damage born was substantial. The damage was calculated based on Lin Moyu's attributes, not accounting for the Skeletal Warriors' defense. All the damage was transferred to the skeletons, causing their severe injuries.

Had the Goblin King’s blade struck a Skeletal Warrior directly, the damage would have been much less.

"It turns out I am the only weakness in my summon army." Lin Moyu mused, "It seems I'll need to strengthen my physique in the future. The stronger my defense, the stronger my summon army will become."
