Chapter 1058: Problem Solving
[Name: Lin Moyu]
[Class: Necromancer (unique)]
[Level: 10 (0.00%)]
[Strength: 100]
[Agility: 100]
[Spirit: 300]
[Physique: 100]
[Equipment: none]
[Summon space: 40/100, Skeletal Warriors (40)]
[Talent: Comprehensive Amplification (level 2, unique)]
[Passive skill: Damage Transfer]
[Active skills: Soul Blaze (level 10), Summon Skeletal Warrior (level 10)]
[Comprehensive Amplification (level 2): enhances the effects of all skills by 20 times.]
[Damage Transfer: transfers all damage taken by the host to the summons.]
[Soul Blaze (level 10): deals damage to the target's soul. The power depends on spirit force and skill level.]
[Summon Skeletal Warrior (level 10): summons a Bronze Skeletal Warrior.]
Lin Moyu reviewed his updated attributes. While his strength, agility, and physique increased modestly by 10 points each per level, his spirit saw a significant boost, reaching 300—a 120-point increase.
"It’s said that attributes see a major jump after level 10. Being a Mage class user, my spirit force is the one that’s showing the greatest change." Lin Moyu mused, then started examining his skills, feeling a rush of excitement.
His talent, Comprehensive Amplification, had doubled in power, now enhancing his skills by 20 times. Even if everything else remained unchanged, the combat strength of his Skeletal Warriors would have increased dramatically. On top of that, the Skeletal Warriors had evolved from iron to bronze rank.
Eager to see the changes, Lin Moyu summoned a Bronze Skeletal Warrior. Unlike Iron Skeletal Warriors, which were gray, the Bronze Skeletal Warrior was pale blue, its body nearly flawless, with only faint cracks, and even the blade it wielded now had a slight luster. The skeleton no longer appeared like scavenged junk.
[Bronze Skeletal Warrior]
[Strength: 3,000]
[Agility: 3,000]
[Spirit: 3,000]
[Physique: 3,000]
[Skills: Berserk Strike (level 1)]
[Berserk Strike (level 1): deals 200% of the user's strength as damage to the target. Cooldown: 10 minutes.]
The four basic attributes of the Bronze Skeletal Warrior had reached 150 points. After the 20-fold, they had reached a whopping 3,000 points. Lin Moyu couldn't estimate what combat level his skeletons would match now, but he knew he could travel freely in this area.
Additionally, the Skeletal Warriors now possessed Berserk Strike, a powerful skill that allowed for a sudden, explosive attack.
"Is this what they mean by 'when you have the skill, you can eat your fill'?" Lin Moyu thought, recalling a saying from his previous life. With his current abilities, he didn't need flashy or complex skills. A couple strong, practical ones were enough to sweep through anything in his path.
Though Lin Moyu lacked the ability to unleash grand magic spells or perform dazzling combat maneuvers, his current setup made him nearly unbeatable below level 20. With the attributes of his Skeletal Warriors, backed by his passive skill, even if he stands still, it would take a long time for a level 20 class user to kill him.
As he prepared to summon more Bronze Skeletal Warriors, a whistling sound broke the silence, followed by an arrow flying past him.
Whoosh!
More arrows followed, one striking him directly. However, an invisible barrier appeared, blocking the arrow. Lin Moyu's passive skill activated automatically, redirecting all damage to his summons, leaving him unharmed.
[Under attack!]
Lin Moyu received a warning. At the same time, the eyes of his Skeletal Warrior glowed red, entering a state of alert.
A figure in black darted through the woods at incredible speed—likely an Assassin-type class user, Lin Moyu guessed. The moment she saw him, she changed direction and disappeared.
Seconds later, two more figures emerged, clearly in pursuit. Judging by their attire, Lin Moyu identified them as an Archer and a Mage. The arrows must have come from the Archer. Without his passive skill, Lin Moyu would have been injured.
The two paid him no mind, continuing their chase. Lin Moyu noticed that they were heading in the wrong direction—the woman in black had already switched paths. As expected, the duo returned shortly after, having lost her trail.
The Mage began casting a magic spell, causing the wind to stir. After a few moments, he sighed, "That lass is clever. She's already escaped."
The Archer replied, "No worries. She can't get far. We'll catch her eventually." He then turned to Lin Moyu, asking, "Kid, did you see a person in black just now?"
Ignoring the question, Lin Moyu replied in a low voice, "Your arrow hit me. Apologize."
The Archer glanced at the arrows on the ground and quickly understood, "I'm sorry."
Lin Moyu waved dismissively, "Just don’t let it happen again."
The Archer felt an odd sense of inferiority, as if Lin Moyu was looking down on him. The Mage, clearly frustrated by their failed chase, eyed the Skeletal Warrior standing beside Lin Moyu with disdain, "Undead summoned creature." He slowly raised his stave, preparing to cast a magic spell.
The Skeletal Warrior’s eyes flared red, ready to strike. However, the Archer grabbed the Mage’s arm and whispered, "Don't cause trouble."
The Mage hesitated but ultimately lowered his stave, "Fine."
As the two retreated, Lin Moyu remarked coldly, "Consider yourselves lucky."
Though he hadn't used the Detection spell, Lin Moyu could gauge their strength from the arrow's power. The two were probably around level 20 at most. If they had attacked, he felt like he might have killed them both.
Lin Moyu was no saint—if provoked, he would retaliate a hundredfold. When the Mage had raised his stave, Lin Moyu had already prepared to summon all his Skeletal Warriors, ready to unleash them in an instant.
Had they chosen to fight, the outcome would have been certain: the two would have been torn to pieces.
