TOOLATE - Book 05 Chapter 038.1: Chen Heng Holds No Grudges Whatsoever (Laughs), Part 1

After arriving near the Honkai reactor, Chen Heng saw Sirin lying on a lounge chair, sipping juice, with Bella holding a fruit tray by her side. Bella sat upright on a chair, occasionally dropping peeled and sliced fruits from the tray into Sirin’s drink.

Oh! The wickedness of capitalism! How envious!

“Sirin, why are you up so early?”

“The thunder woke me up. Then I could not fall back to sleep. Furthermore, I still have not absorbed sufficient Honkai Energy. I gave Bella too much Honkai Energy to create her body.”

“It has been hard on you, my queen. Open up…” Bella fed a slice of orange into Sirin’s mouth.

“Ah…” Nom…nom… “Anyway, I feel that using the Honkai Energy was worth it. Bella is much better than Fafnir. I have to feed Fafnir snacks, but Bella can feed me snacks.” Sirin showed a blissful expression as Bella fed her.

“…You are the one who wanted to feed Fafnir in the first place. Fafnir can eat by herself. In fact, compared to being fed, she prefers to eat on her own without you feeding her. Also, Sirin, don’t keep lying down. You should move about; otherwise, you might get fat.”

“Don’t worry, Elder Brother. Don’t I have the Gem of Conquest? I can use its electromagnetic ability to eradicate the fat in my body. I won’t get fat.” Sirin waved and fired a spark from her fingertip.

[TL Note: The Gem of Conquest is one of the four Herrscher cores given to Sirin. While they are actually a lesser form of Herrscher Cores and are obtained differently, they can become full Herrscher Cores. Herrscher Cores are normally formed when a person turns into a Herrscher, while the gems were given by the Will of Honkai. However, they are functionally the same in the right hands and are considered cores for the purpose of this story. Apparently, the gem disappears if a true core of that attribute awakens.]

“…Sirin, do you know? There was once a person with an electromagnetic control ability who used this method to remove fat. Do you know what happened to her?”

Chen Heng did not mind Sirin turning into a useless person
