TOOLATE - Book 04 Chapter 045: First Step to Becoming Friends

“Skadi, can I look at your sword?” Chen Heng felt a strong interest in Skadi’s sword. This weapon sounded very heavy; he wondered if he could raise it. Breaking Shining’s sword earlier in the day had stimulated an interest in the materials and forging methods of this world.

“Sure, but let’s go to my room first. Speaking of which, why are you staying on the fourth floor too?” Skadi took out a key from her pocket and opened the door across from Chen Heng’s.

Skadi felt strange that a new operator got directly assigned to the fourth floor, which housed all sorts of eccentrics and oddities.

Although Skadi did not participate in any social activities in Rhodes Island, she had heard the rumors about the fourth floor. However, she had no desire to refute them since they reduced trouble for her.

“At first, it was to hide from a person. Since I stayed here my first night in Rhodes Island, I immediately thought of this place. Later on, I noticed that all the rooms on the fourth floor were one-person rooms. I felt it was better than sharing a room, like on the other floors.”

His fear of sharing a room with Adnachiel, a Lateran, was a factor. Also, he had Blue Poison as a neighbor here. Of course, he did not need to say these.

“I’ll place the sword here. If you want to try, go on. I’ll go get some food.” Skadi placed her sword on a custom-made wooden stand in the living room. Then she headed to the fridge to scrounge for food.

Ordinary stands could never endure the weight of Skadi’s sword. This stand was custom-made, using an ingenious structure to spread the sword’s weight.

Chen Heng walked to the stand and observed Skadi’s sword and the stand. This stand had a special support structure; the person who made it must have many genius ideas.

“Damn! This sword is hefty.” Chen Heng lifted the gigantic sword from the stand and found it truly heavy. Even with his strength, he could barely wave it. Even raising it took some effort, not to mention fighting with it.
