TOOLATE - Book 04 Chapter 036: The Electromagnetic Sniper Rifle’s Limits

“Damn it! Defenders and my flock, shield me! Casters and Snipers, attack!”

“Leave the defense to us.” Ace and Nearl stood in front of Chen Heng, holding their shields upraised.

“Alright, I’ll leave it to you.”

Chen Heng nodded in gratitude. However, even without them, his attraction barrier would prevent any attack from landing on him.

Charging…charging…charging…charging…charging…

Visible electric light coalesced on Chen Heng’s Electromagnetic Sniper Rifle while Ace and Nearl blocked the surrounding attacks.

The attacks of the others were fine, but Faust’s attacks placed tremendous pressure on the two. Fortunately, Shining’s Creed Field and Nightingale’s Sanctuary allowed them to withstand the attacks.

[TL Note: Creed Field increases the defense of all allies within range as well as the user’s attack. Sanctuary expands the user’s range and increases the user’s attack and the Resistance and Arts dodge of all allies within range.]

The other Rhodes Island members took advantage of Ace and Nearl blocking all the attacks to run for cover.

Twenty seconds. Chen Heng charged his attack for 20 seconds. He had not even used this much time when pulling down a meteor. For the meteor, he merely worked on changing its trajectory.

During these 20 seconds, nearly all the Reunion Defenders and Mephisto’s subordinates moved to shield him. This made him feel very secure, but he was still somewhat unsettled.

Actually, it was not just Mephisto. Even Nearl and Ace, who were protecting Chen Heng, felt startled at the intense energy fluctuations from the Electromagnetic Sniper Rifle as it charged up.

Boom!

The loud report made everyone flinch, covering their ears, especially Ace and Nearl, who were beside Chen Heng. The report of the gunshot reverberated throughout Chernobog.

As the bullet emerged from the muzzle, a 50-centimeter-diameter beam of light shot out from the sniper rifle.

As for the Defenders and Mephisto’s subordinates, anything standing before him was like paper, not even worth a strike. They did not delay the
