“What exactly is Typhon trying to do?”

In the Pentagon, the US top brass was staring at the monster on a large screen. Their hearts and minds were filled with apprehension.

After ‘eating’ the nuclear material and the strange metal canister, Typhon stood in place, but the lava flowing around it increased in speed and viscosity.

“According to the detection instruments we left in the base, the heat of the whole base is on the rise. The energy being released by Typhon is also rising dramatically.”

An American general frowned at the data displayed by the computer. The bizarre sight of the columns in one of the tables made him feel a pang of unease in his heart.

“Wait a minute, the terrain here!”

The general seemed to have noticed something. He quickly pulled up a map of Los Angeles and measured the terrain. It didn’t take long for his face to change dramatically.

“General, what’s wrong?”

The personnel next to him watched the general go about with his business until his expression changed. Only then did people ask in a nervous voice.

“Mr. President, this is the map around the military base. It is positioned at a very high elevation and quite close to Los Angeles. As the highest point… if… I mean if Typhon's lava continues to flow down, it’s likely to flow down into Los Angeles.”

The general wrote and drew on the map with a pencil. Soon, multiple long lines formed a river and they all happened to be roads leading to Los Angeles.

“NO, it can’t be… Would Typhon do such a thing? We only noticed the connection between the military base and the city of Los Angeles. With its intelligence, it shouldn't be able to pull off such a sophisticated maneuver!”.

Several individuals thought that the general was worrying about nothing and shook their heads.

“You can’t say it like that. Typhon is not just a monster. In Greek mythology, it’s one of the Titans. As one of the strongest Titans, its intelligence is definitely not low even if it has been behaving like a beast.”
