Horror Game Designer Chapter 335: Cursed Daughter

“Is it a ghost or an animal?” Luo Dong didn’t even know how to describe the thing anymore.

Viscous and dirty liquid dripped from the tendril. The pipes exploded one after another. The tendrils gushed out. The tendrils ended with fingers from different humans. Different from the monsters on the third floor, the monster inside the pool was not made of one person. It had ‘consumed’ many people.
The floor bulged. The tiles cracked. Something moved under their feet. The monster was like an animal and a plant. Its tendrils were like plant roots as they surrounded the fourth floor.

“Quick! Retreat!” The pool was huge. Yu Ruohu didn’t have the courage to climb over. He was like a duck on the cooking stick. The two from the Catfish Gang jumped down from the fence and moved away from the pool.

Right after they left, dark tendrils crawled onto the fence. The human fingers poked through the holes in the fence and distorted the fence easily. Animal screams came from the iron cages. The tendrils were like sharks as they surged towards the iron cages near the pool. They yanked apart the cages. The tendrils pierced through the rats inside the cages.

The horror terrified Yu Ruohu. If he were late, he’d end up like the rats. The sounds of pipe popping echoed throughout the fourth floor. The stinky water leaked out of the walls. The floor became wet.

“The monster needs water to move around. We need to leave as soon as possible.” Luo Dong was very careful but he was still too late.

The entrance of the fourth floor was like a trap. The pipes around it burst open. More tendrils crawled out. They were stuck with hair and clothes. They didn’t look like they belonged in real life.

The sound of the machines and the sirens echoed. The red light shone on their faces. As the wastewater flowed into the room, the water from the pool rose and approached Gao Ming’s group. Yu Ruohu and Yu Ruolong stopped hesitating. They rushed towards Luo Dong. As they moved, several tendrils the size of adult arms flung out. The tendrils didn’t end with fingers but bloated faces and twisted human arms. From afar, they looked like humans who had their lower bodies transformed into black pythons.

Shrill screams emitted from the monsters’ mouths. They had lost the ability of speech. Only horrible sounds could come out of their lips.

“What monster is this?” Yu Ruohu had never seen something this scary. He didn’t even think of resisting. He turned and ran. Gao Ming was already close to the door. However, if he ran out, he would run right into the tendrils that came out of the water pipes.

Luo Dong dragged his son and wife, afraid that they would be injured, “Follow me!”

“Hey, your daughter!” Gao Ming noticed something strange. When the situation was safe, Luo Dong would protect his daughter no matter what. However, when there was true danger, Luo Dong abandoned his daughter easily. With Luo Dong’s personality, he wouldn’t just leave his family behind.

Gao Ming reached out to Luo Dong’s daughter out of kindness. However, the girl shook his hand away. The girl looked at her family running away. She lowered her head, and she seemed to start crying.

“Now is not the time to cry!” Gao Ming hugged the girl by her waist and carried her in his arms. The girl was very light, and her body was extremely cold. Her face slowly drained of colour. Pure black capillaries bulged under her skin. They ran thick with hatred.

“A resentment ghost?” Gao Ming had seen so many powerful ghosts that he was not scared anymore. With his strong physique, he carried the girl and continued to run. When Luo Dong saw this, his eyes widened.

“Let go! She’ll kill you!” Luo Dong was stunned by Gao Ming’s innocence. He didn’t leave his daughter behind because he was heartless. It was because his daughter was the scariest among his family. When his daughter was triggered, she would turn into a monster that killed everything around her! When her resentment faded away, she returned to Luo Dong’s side as a curse. To escape, Luo Dong had to rely on his daughter. He also removed his limitation on his daughter. He didn’t expect Gao Ming to be so kind as to carry his daughter with him.

“We’re in a new era. You can’t favour sons over daughters.”

“What are you talking about?” Luo Dong’s face was as white as his son’s. If this continued, they would face more danger than the monsters. His daughter would be a threat to them too.

Gao Ming wasn’t listening to Luo Dong at all. He carried the girl and ran to the door. He couldn’t let Luo Dong die there, so he chose to lead the way for him.

The thick resentment almost froze Gao Ming’s arm. Thankfully, the God of Flesh and Blood noticed this and injected his power into Gao Ming’s body. The meat fragrance floated into the daughter’s nostrils and triggered her even more. Blood leaked out of her eyes. Her fingers dug into Gao Ming’s flesh. Her calmness was gone. Her eyes turned red and scary. The venomous voice came out from her throat, “Why did you leave me behind? Daddy, didn’t you say you value us the most?”

Resentment curled around Gao Ming’s body. His heart raced. The God of Flesh and Blood’s shadow overlapped with Gao Ming.

The God of Flesh and Blood opened his eight arms. The daughter’s soul started to tremble. The Face of Death consumed the girl’s resentment. The Face of Desire confused the girl. The Face of Life looked into her heart.

“Your father never meant to abandon you. He was merely too late. In all the futures I saw, he had always been with you. Of course, you have always been with him.”

When Gao Ming whispered to the daughter, he took out the blade that fed on life from his torture room as he was shielded by the God of Flesh and Blood. Gao Ming cut through the tendrils and was the first to exit the fourth floor.

When the tendrils were cut, the monster in the pool fully awakened.

The stench filled the air. A giant shadow floated out of the water!
