Lifespan Chunshen arrived at the Hall of Great Strength in somewhat tattered clothes.

Inside the Hall of Great Strength, Jiang Gautama and the Past Buddha frowned at Lifespan Chunshen.

“Kong Xuan…Kong Xuan killed the Sword Deity Six Paths. It’s true!” Lifespan Chunshen insisted anxiously.

The Past Buddha frowned slightly. “Are you referring to the Sword Deity Six Paths replica that we gave the Corpse Worm Heavenly Demon? How can that be? How could Kong Xuan be a match for the Sword Deity Six Paths?”

“Why would I lie to you? Kong Xuan really killed the Sword Deity Six Paths. Had I not run fast, I might not have been able to return!” Lifespan Chunshen said with lingering fear.

The Past Buddha appeared skeptical as he turned to Jiang Gautama.

Jiang Gautama said after some silence, “You are saying Gu Hai, Kong Xuan, the Mosquito Daoist, the Unborn Man, that Chang Ming, and the Bodhisattva Lian Sheng went to the Corpse Mound World?”

“Yes. The peak master sent the Fly Daoist, the Sword Deity Six Paths, the Dried Lamp Buddha, and me to deal with them. However, Kong Xuan killed the Sword Deity Six Paths while I was dealing with the Unborn Man. Had I not fled quickly…,” Lifespan Chunshen said anxiously.

“You fled? Why didn’t you seek the Corpse Worm Heavenly Demon but came to me instead?” Jiang Gautama appeared slightly dubious.

“The Corpse Worm Heavenly Demon is too headstrong and set in his ways. He does not even bother to manage his blessings in the Corpse Mound World. Furthermore, the great resentful spirits in the central corpse pit are incredibly strong. Even the Corpse Worm Heavenly Demon does not dare to enter casually. I was worried something unexpected would happen. That’s why I came to you for reinforcements,” Lifespan Chunshen said anxiously.

Jiang Gautama and the Past Buddha stared at Lifespan Chunshen, still suspicious of him.
