EIF - Book 07 Chapter 040: Gu Qin Returns

Shangguan Hen transformed into Gu Hai’s likeness and entered Han Destruction City with Kong Xuan.

The instant the two entered, a piercing white light flashed, encasing them. It seemed to flow like water around the two.

“There is indeed a ritual array!” Kong Xuan’s face sank.

Shangguan Hen looked coldly into the distance.

Whoosh!

A group of Myriad Age Daoist Sect disciples in the distance suddenly soared into the sky. Sect Master Heavenly Access led the group.

“Hah! Haha! Sima Changkong was right. I did not have to wait for two days. You already came for a sneak attack tonight? Gu Hai, you are truly bold. To think you barged straight in! This sect master laid a Divine Light Ritual Array to stop you from sneaking in with your immortal firmament, yet you did not use it?” Sect Master Heavenly Access said coldly.

“Divine Light Ritual Array?” Shangguan Hen’s face sank.

Behind a house in Han Destruction City:

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Water-like light gushed out, forming human-shaped ripples.

Buzz!

Gu Hai stepped out of the immortal firmament with Gu Qin. Then the immortal firmament withdrew; the surrounding rippling light vanished.

“How excellent of Heavenly Access! It is one thing to freeze space for the immortal firmament within the Divine Light Ritual Array, but once we try to move, space would overlapping and become unstable, making us easy to notice?” Gu Hai narrowed his eyes slightly.

“Fortunately, Father covered all the bases, getting Shangguan Hen to attract their attention,” Gu Qin marveled.

Gu Hai nodded. “Qin`er, Han Destruction City is dangerous. How about you enter the Gu’s Immortal Firmament? It will be safer there.”

“No, this child also wants to look for Mother. Father, please grant me that!” Gu Qin pleaded anxiously.

“Alright!” Gu Hai nodded. Then he looked into the distant sky.

Sect Master Heaven Access sneered at Shangguan Hen and Kong Xuan, taking Shangguan Hen for Gu Hai.

“Sect Master Heavenly Access, where is the White Emperor?” Shangguan Hen shouted.

“Even on your deathbed
