EIF - Book 05 Chapter 099: Go Dao Mountain Manor

The Reincarnation King screamed miserably, turned into fragments, and vanished into the clouds.

“Your Majesty, the Reincarnation King is extremely familiar with the Human Path Secret Realm. Why did you not keep him around to interrogate? Perhaps there are other ways to rescue Chen Xianer?” Bing Ji asked.

Gu Hai shook his head. “Other ways? We don’t need that. The Reincarnation King could have used the Mortal Soul Register to destroy Xianer at any time. Although he looked cowardly, we did not want to risk that.”

“Yes!” Bing Ji nodded.

Gu Hai walked to the small blue ball Chen Xianer turned into. Some anger and frustration flashed in his eyes.

I had already seen Xianer, but things turned out like this? I should have killed the Reincarnation King sooner.

Gu Hai gingerly picked up Chen Xianer’s primitive body. He carefully extended his hand and caressed it, but he did not dare to try to wake her up. All he could do was carefully put it away.

Then, Gu Hai turned his head to look at the small blue ball Bodhisattva Zi Zhu turned into. Then, he reached out and squeezed it hard.

Buzz! The little blue ball seemed extremely tough; it did not shatter.

Even the Samādhi True Flame could not destroy it earlier. Naturally, Gu Hai would not put in any pointless work.

“Humph!”

Gu Hai snorted coldly and tossed aside Bodhisattva Zi Zhu’s soul ball.

Then, he cautiously picked up the Mortal Soul Register.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

The Mortal Soul Register trembled slightly. Unfortunately, Gu Hai could not use it. However, he could not just leave it behind, so he carefully put it away.

“Let’s go,” Gu Hai said, feeling depressed.

“Yes!” Bing Ji nodded and followed behind Gu Hai. She peeked at him and bit her lip. However, she did not say anything, just quietly followed behind.

The two walked out of Reincarnation City slowly. At the city gates, they saw some soldiers and magistrates.

“Hurry! Quickly leave!”

“Ah!”

“He killed the Reincarnation King! Run quickly!”

The souls scattered and fled in horror, only daring to look at Gu Hai and Bing Ji from a distance.
