EIF - Book 05 Chapter 014: War Drums Sound Outside Silver Moon City

A vast fog shrouded the Silver Moon Sea.

A large ritual array covered the Silver Moon Sea. The seawater parted in all directions at the center. A golden egg three kilometers wide hovered there. This golden egg was translucent, and Shangguan Hen was vaguely visible, seated cross-legged inside.

Shangguan Hen’s face appeared twisted: one half showing a ferocious expression and the other half showing a peaceful look.

There seemed to be two huge figures standing behind Shangguan Hen: one profound tortoise and one profound snake.

The profound tortoise and the profound snake consumed the energy of the golden egg. Simultaneously, they stared daggers at each other.

“Shangguan Hen, you treacherous thing! You said that you would give your body to me, yet you are trying to snatch it back?” A sinister voice came from the ferocious half of Shangguan Hen’s body.

“Feng Yue, you are the previous prime, yet you are trying to snatch my body? Isn’t that too much? Hah! That’s right; I did lend my body to you. However, you failed to protect it. Whose fault is that?” the peaceful half of Shangguan Hen countered.

“I failed to protect you? If not for the weakness of your body, would I have wasted so much energy trying to help you deal with that repulsive bat? Humph!” Feng Yue said coldly.

“What is mine is mine. I only lent my body to you previously. Humph! Prime Feng Yue already fell back then. It is a miracle that you are still alive. Learn to be content!” Shangguan Hen said coldly.

“Hah! If not for me, how could you have found that Black Tortoise Pearl by following your memories? Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! I won’t waste my time arguing with you. Let’s see who will have the last laugh!” Feng Yue said coldly.

Shangguan Hen sat cross-legged as the two consciousnesses fought each other. However, his body frantically absorbed the vast energy of the golden egg in the meantime.

This three-kilometer-wide golden egg was the Black Tortoise Pearl. Its surging energy currently encapsulated Shangguan Hen.

At this moment, some black tortoises waited outside
