EIF - Book 05 Chapter 010: Seven Kills’s Interference

Tens of thousands of birds exploded by the Supreme Ascendant Dao’s zitherists, producing loud reports. High in the sky, the churning dark clouds scattered.

Even though it was a mental attack, there were still high-frequency vibrations. The Supreme Ascendant Dao’s zitherists tried to resist, but it was too powerful.

As the loud reports rang out, a huge crater blasted open in the ground, kicking up churning dust clouds into the sky.

“Argh!”

Many miserable cries came from the deep pit.

Coo!

With a loud cry, the phoenix flew out of the dust cloud. It flapped its wings, then disappeared.

That was because Gu Hai stopped playing. The surrounding zitherists stopped playing as well.

The cheer and joy that the phoenix brought as “A Hundred Birds’ Homage to the Phoenix” played had already calmed the fear in everyone’s heart.

“Many thanks, Mister Gu!”

The surrounding citizens looked at Gu Hai gratefully.

Aside from some citizens who were frightened to death, most of the citizens recovered. If not for Mister Gu coming, they might not have survived this day.

Gu Hai handed the suona back to the guard captain. “The suona. It is time to return it to its rightful owner.”

“Thank…thank you, Mister Gu!” the guard captain said excitedly.

“Thank me? The entire city should be thanking you. If not for your suona, all the citizens would have died today!” Gu Hai smiled.

“Me? I’m just a boorish person. I can’t play the guqin, only blow or bang on things. All I can play is the suona. Previously, I thought that the suona was not much of an instrument. Now, I no longer think that,” the guard captain said with a smile.

“Hahaha!” Gu Hai laughed.

The flying ship carried the group to the Silver Moon Mountain Manor.

Yun Mo had already stood up and led the Silver Moon Mountain Manor’s people in welcoming Gu Hai.

“Many thanks, Mister Gu!” Yun Mo bowed seriously.

“Manor Lord Yun is too polite. I will still have to trouble you on this visit.” Gu Hai smiled.

“Mister Gu, you just need to ask,” Yun Mo immediately said.
