While Long Di was playing life on easy mode, we move to someone who has his head so far up his own ass, that he could enjoy his own lunch a second time.

“Young Lord Tan Yongzheng, I found him.”

A burly figure knelt before a youth who was sitting atop a monstrous magical beast. It was covered in feathers, but at the moment, it was dead.

The youth, known as Tan Yongzheng, wasn’t the only one here. To the side of the felled beast were Mad Sword Haoran, Heavenly Sun Noble, Violet Flame Noble, Ice Star Yun, and a slew of other characters.

Moreover, these other characters were about as strong as Mad Sword Haoran.

These characters were the other members of the Seven Heroes. However, none of them displayed any arrogance before Tan Yongzheng, especially not the burly youth kneeling before him.

If Long Di were here, he would recognise this burly man as Black Fortress Guo Da.

Despite Black Fortress Guo Da kneeling, Tan Yongzheng simply twirled a fist-sized crystal-like object in his hand. It was green and a faint wind continuously whirled around it. It was obviously the neidan of this magical beast.

Though Black Fortress Guo Da knelt before Tan Yongzheng, the latter only stared back at him coldly.

“Then where is he!?” Before Tan Yongzheng could say anything, a foot smashed on the back of Black Fortress Guo Da’s head stomping it into the ground!

Bam!

It was Jixie Wudongyuzhong who had stood behind him. As he had his foot on Black Fortress Guo Das’s head, he sneered. This feeling of treating one of the Seven Heroes like this couldn’t be expressed in words.

Though he came from one of the Ten Great Sects, the disparity in power between him and the Seven Heroes was clear. It was even more apparent when he was compared with the Five Nobles.

However, now he was able to stand above these existences that he could only look up to. This was all due to his current backing.

“Do you think Lord Tan Yongzheng has any time to waste!? What, do you want him to go get Long Di himself!?”

Dum!

Black Fortress Guo Da’s cauldrons exploded into existence and somatic essence roared through his body!

Jixie Wudongyuzhong, who wasn’t expecting Black Fortress Guo Da to react so quickly, flew back from the eruption of the former’s power.

“Jixie Wudongyuzhong, you dare to humiliate me like this!?” Black Fortress was now back on his feet but the earlier humiliation was still there.

Jixie Wudongyuzhong’s puppet quickly came to his aid and interrupted his flight before he got injured.

One must remember that he mainly cultivated mental energy, so his physical body was even weaker than normal spiritual cultivators.

After all, spiritual qi nourished the body to some extent, while mental energy offered no such benefit. Even though he did possess spiritual qi on the level of a Martial Adept, the quality of his spiritual qi was a far cry from his contemporaries, since his spiritual qi cultivation was built on pills with very little care given to it.

Hence, the nourishment it gave to his body cannot compare to someone who cultivates spiritual qi primarily.

Nevertheless, his puppets were there to compensate for his shortcomings. As soon as he regained his footing, he saw Black Fortress Guo Da staring at him with a face twisted in anger.

He only smirked in response when he saw this. “What? I was only teaching you in place of Lord Yan Yongzheng how to do your job.”

Dum!

Black Fortress Guo Da’s aura spiked once more, and he took a step towards Jixie Wudongyuzhong when an unholy aura crashed into him!

Boom!

He was instantly forced to his knees before he was sent sprawling on the ground.

“I—Ack!” he coughed up a mouthful of blood when he tried to talk, forcing him to clench his teeth to survive whatever this was.

He felt like his bones were about to be crushed! One must know that Black Fortress Guo Da was a body cultivator. In addition, he walked this incomparably painful path well enough to become one of the Seven Heroes. This alone displayed how powerful his physical body was.

For him to suffer this much was a testament to the level of pressure he was under.

Just then, a cold and arrogant voice rang out. “Answer the question.”

Black Fortress Guo Da heard Tan Yongzheng’s voice and instantly knew who it was that acted.

Instantly, all thoughts of resistance left him.

It made sense though, when he thought about it. He met Tan Yongzheng when he was making his way towards the True Star Sage-level Relic.

He saw him waiting there with several of the other Seven Heroes. It was there that he learned that Tan Yongzheng had defeated every single one of the Seven Heroes except him.

Even Mad Sword Haoran was covered in injuries to the point where he could barely move.

What was even more incredulous was that Tan Yongzheng sustained no injuries. This meant that he was able to overpower every single one of them with relative ease.

Despite this, Black Fortress Guo Da didn’t care about that. When he heard Tan Yongzheng ordering him to become his servant, his own anger was set ablaze.

Even if Tan Yongzheng was stronger than him, he still had his own pride. He was one of the Seven Heroes!

Even Heavenly Sun Noble knew this! He only followed her because she promised a greater place where he could soar!

He wasn’t a servant or a mindless follower. He had his own will and no one could take that away!

As a result, he challenged Tan Yongzheng to a fight, but… the result was a one-sided defeat.

The latter didn’t even summon his cauldrons.

It was humiliating.

Still, the defeat didn’t crush him. The existence of the Five Heroes was proof of that. Despite them being stronger than him, he still walked his path.

In fact, this defeat reinvigorated him. There were higher levels of strength he could strive for!

So this isn’t what forced him to bow his head. No… what did, was something else entirely.

He could remember it clearly… mostly because it was a few hours ago.

{A few hours ago outside of the Relic.}

Black Fortress Guo Da lay there defeated, wholly and without dispute.

Tan Yongzheng stood over him and uttered. “You’re a fool if you think you could beat me.”

He then looked over to the rest of the Seven Heroes he had bested and declared. “You are, all of you, beneath me. You’re not fit to be my followers, only my servants. Now serve… or die.”

Whoosh

The sound of cutting wind sounded, causing Tan Yongzheng and everyone else to turn their heads to see an ice carriage roaring over.

When Tan Yongzheng saw the ice carriage, not just him, but the old man who barely made a move since he arrived evinced shock at this carriage’s arrival.

“Young Lord Tan Yongzheng—”

“I know,” Tan Yongzheng told him, but held up a hand to stop him from speaking further. “We’ll watch first and then proceed from there.”

The old man then stepped back to resume his role as an observer.

Eventually, the ice carriage’s door opened up and several figures stepped out, causing Tan Yongzheng to frown.

First, it was Heavenly Sun Noble, followed by Mad Sword Haoran, with Wei Yun coming out last.

However, when they came out and saw not just that the Seven Heroes were here, but that they lay defeated just before the entrance of the Relic, they were surprised.

When Heavenly Sun Noble saw Mad Sword Haoran and Black Fortress’s condition especially, her own fury was quickly ignited.

Even though they couldn’t count as friends, they were people who she planned to bring with her to the higher realm she heard of. They were necessary to make sure they could watch each other’s back since it would be an unknown land and allies would be a precious commodity by then.

As a matter of fact, she planned to bring all Seven Heroes with her eventually, and then this happened.

“Who’s responsible for this!?” Heavenly Sun Noble roared, but soon it was cut short when she noticed the man standing above Black Fortress Guo Da.

“It seems I was worried for nothing. I thought it was the ice carriage of the Divine Daughter, but I never knew the ice carriage could be used to carry trash,” Tan Yongzheng sneered.

Wei Yun’s eyes narrowed when she heard what this person said, but she didn’t say anything for now and decided to let Heavenly Sun Noble handle this for now.

“Identify yourself!” She drew her sword and pointed it at Tan Yongzheng. “I, Heavenly Sun Noble, won’t fight a nobody!”

Tan Yongzheng simply stared at her for a moment before commenting, “Now that I look at you, you don’t look half bad. I’ll let you be my bed warmer I guess.”

“!”

“Bed warmer!?”

“How dare you!?”

“That’s Heavenly Sun Noble!”

“Teach him a lesson!”

This comment instantly lit the fires of jealousy in the younger generation. These were experts who had just arrived and wanted to see how this played out.

Regardless, though Heavenly Sun Noble’s demeanour didn’t have many people notice her beauty, many still did.

After all, she was comparable to the Divine Daughter in beauty! This was like being likened to a heavenly fairy. A being completely untouchable in normal people’s eyes!

Because of this, she had a lot of fans among men and women. So when they heard someone being so crass with her, they got angry on her behalf.

Heavenly Sun Noble didn’t take this lightly either. Her expression showed that she was angry this person dared to speak to her in such a way.

Schwing!

“Don’t blame me for being impolite!” Heavenly Sun Noble’s sword rang before she let loose a downward slash against this brute!

When Tan Yongzheng saw the sword light heading towards him, he smirked.

“How cute.”

He simply pointed with his index finger and shot an arrow of light.

Shu!

Bang!

The two attacks collided and exploded, shocking the surrounding experts.

“With just a finger!?”
