Chapter 673: When the Rain Continues
It was white, immaculately so. She looked a bit closer and thought she saw a small black stain on one of them. She only noticed it because the sheet itself was so white.
Yet, when she really peered in on it, it didn’t seem like a stain. Instead, it seemed like a part of its design.

They took the same path they took to get here to get back to the main parts of the city.
Along the way, Long Di saw the revitalised mien of the mortals he saw not long ago. It was like a completely different community.
People were moving about out and about and whoever was sick before was operating with renewed vigour.
It was like new life and fresh blood was injected into this previously listless place. However, he couldn’t pay attention to this any longer and simply gave it a passing glance before he sped past it, going back the way they came.
It was obvious at a glance that the magical beast meat that Sun Zixin gave out really helped. In addition, because of the massive amount of energy in the meat, this would keep them satiated and full of energy for days easily.
Before long, they came to the main street and followed Sun Zixin as he led them along and introduced different places to them. He also made sure to advise them which place was cheaper than others.
Long Di looked up and could see Lord Whiskers Furryback the First and Pebbles the Wondercat jumping from building to building as they kept an eye on him and the others.
Feline guardian angels indeed.
He wondered if they kept tabs on him as well and saw the woman he’d spoken to. After a while, he figured this probably wasn’t the case. He was the strongest one here and thus the one in the least amount of danger and least in need of protection.
As they made their way forward, he slowed down a bit to walk side by side with Mina. Her eyes slid suspiciously to the side to keep her sights on him. She didn’t know what he was coming with, but she remained on guard all the same.
“I have a question about the blessings you went on about.”
When Mina heard this, her expression changed, and she became serious.
“What kind of blessings did you give Pebbles specifically?” he asked.
She looked upwards in rumination. Whether she was looking at Pebbles The Wondercat flitting across the rooftops with Lord Whiskers or the sky itself remained unknown.
After a while, she spoke. “Pebbles The Wondercat’s blessing was one and one alone.”
“And that is?” Long Di turned his gaze to Pebbles as well.
“For him to be born with an extremely perverted bloodline. There are no true dragons in this world–”
Long Di’s gaze flickered to her in an instant. “I thought I told you I wanted to go to a cultivation world with True Dragons.”
“It isn’t easy to do that since True Dragons aren’t existences we can easily deal with.”
Long Di didn’t miss what she just said. “We?”
“We,” Mina repeated. “Me and the other Gods. This includes the Elder G–”
Rumble…
The sky above darkened for an instant before it returned to normal.
Mina saw this and didn’t dare to finish her sentence. ‘It seems the lower worlds aren’t receptive to certain things being said. It’s either that or something else is hindering this whole world.’
“A-Anyway…” she continued. “Pebbles The Wondercat has a bloodline that can achieve atavism. If he grows stronger, you just may be able to see a True Dragon. However, don’t keep much hope out. Throughout the infinite worlds and dimensions that exist, True Dragons are something that I have yet to see alive in any of them.”
Long Di descended into deep thought when he heard this. He then asked finally. “Since you know of them, it must mean they were once alive. Were they all wiped out by something?”
Mina shrugged at this. “I mean they could have all gone extinct, couldn’t they?”
Long Di didn’t say anything after this but he didn’t agree with that line of reasoning. Mina as a Goddess knew about Dragons and their station rendered them as something that even her own kind had to pay attention to.
He was to believe that such powerful existences became extinct? No, something happened. He was sure of it.
“Will you take away his blessing?” Long Di asked. He was referring to Pebbles.
Mina shook her head. “He only has one, and the Gods that sent me here only wanted me to retrieve yours.”
Long Di was relieved to hear this. He didn’t want Pebbles to become weaker. He was glad that at the moment, he could sense that Pebbles was more powerful than him. He only wished for him to grow even stronger and possibly become a True Dragon.
“Forget about the trivial stuff,” Mina said, changing the subject. “Aren’t you supposed to be drawing more mangas for me?”
“Yeah, yeah, hold on.” Long Di took out a book and pencil and from his memory, drew the finishing arc for the manga Mina was reading, which was Demon Slayer. It wasn’t isekai, but it wasn’t that bad.
“As soon as I finish this, you need to draw Attack on Titans next,” she told him. “I was able to finish the second season so imma need all of that.”
“What makes you think I want to go through that emotional rollercoaster again?” Long Di asked her.
“You should thank me!” Mina rebutted. “It’s because of me that you didn’t spend all your time reading just isekai and/or cultivation novels.”
“That is true, can’t argue there. Quick question, what’s up with Di Long for the name back there?”
While Long Di and Mina were talking, they didn’t even notice when Sun Zixin led them into a store.
Shen Ling, Xiannu Liang and Sun Mei were captivated by the precious jewellery on display.
However, none of the salespeople came over to them. Nevertheless, these very same salespersons didn’t dare to let them out of their sight.
Barring Long Di and Mina who were still talking at the back of the group, the others obviously saw this and their expressions fell.
They knew what was happening here. Obviously, the salespeople were biased against Sun Zixin and his siblings, since they were all mortals. Not only that, he and his siblings’ attires made it clear that they didn’t have any money.
Because of this, even though Shen Ling, Long Di and Mina were all well-dressed, they attributed this to them as well. Which was extremely stupid, for the most part.
Because of this, Sun Zixin quickly felt ashamed and so decided to lead everyone out of the store to go somewhere else. However, before he could get far, Xiannu Liang’s voice stopped him.
“How pretty!” Xiannu Liang, who was wearing a cloak to hide her characteristics of a Nymph, rushed towards a hairpin that caught her eye. The long side of it was scrawled with indiscernible characters in an emerald colour.
They also glistened every now and again, meaning that whatever it was that these characters were and the material used for the inscription was far from ordinary. They gave off a soothing air that put her at ease.
Her attention then moved to the material used for the hairpin itself, and her expression changed. It was red and gold, but they were so dark that one wouldn’t realise unless close attention was paid to it.
“This is the heart of a quasi Phoenix Feather’s Roost!”
Pebbles looked over to the hairpin with little interest when he heard the name Phoenix. This was a race that the Dragons detested for more than one reason.
When Xiannu Liang made such a commotion over the hairpin, one of the salespeople finally came over. Through the nature of his job, he was compelled to come over even though he was reluctant.
This reluctance was even more pronounced when he saw what Xiannu Liang said and how she dressed.
She was covered in a cloak that hid her from view. As far as he knew, cultivators didn’t hide themselves from the world and instead showed off who they were. For this person to hide herself like this, meant that she was either weak or ugly. And since cultivators were able to change their appearances, it probably meant that this person was both of those things.
As for what she said, this highlighted her ignorance, and it was his job to educate her.
“Greetings esteemed customer,” the smile he wore was so forced that it would have been better if he just scowled.
“I am surprised you know of the Phoenix Feather’s Roost. However, this is not a quasi Phoenix Feather’s Roost, but an authentic low-grade one.”
“Low-grade?” Xiannu Liang looked back at the hairpin for a few seconds before a smile made its way across her face.
“How much for it?” she finally asked.
The salesperson sighed as if this was the most tiring thing in the world to do.
“It’s two thousand spirit stones,” the salesperson advised.
Xiannu Liang’s smile widened before she turned back to her group.
“Let’s go everyone.”
Everyone found the exchange odd but didn’t say anything more. The atmosphere in the store didn’t suit their tastes, so they all left.
Suddenly, an arrogant voice echoed out, which caused everyone’s expression to darken.
“Hmph! This shop’s quality must be lacking if they allow beggars to enter!”
