‘This is far worse than I’d thought it’d be,’ thought Long Di to himself as he bore this as best as he could.

The Destiny Scale had once told Long Di that his tribulation lightning was quasi-tribulation lightning at best since his cultivation technique had not received its name. This placed several limitations upon it that even Long Di himself was unaware of.

Not only that, the Heavenly Levyance lightning he was hit with now was infused with a monstrous killing intent increasing its power several-fold, turning it from tribulation lightning into execution lightning.

Right now, the Heavenly Levyance execution lightning was making Long Di and Lord Whiskers its ill-treated stepchildren!

“Meow!”

Lord Whiskers howled in pain and Long Di could hear it through even the roar of thunder that boomed all around.

“Lord Whiskers! Bear it!” Long Di shouted his loudest to encourage Lord Whiskers to hold on.

Within the scope of a tribulation, communication via spiritual transmission was no different from suicide, and though Long Di was experienced in that field, he didn’t feel the need to flex that skill here.

Pain wracked Long Di’s body. He didn’t scream to express it, but it was still there.
