When Long Di saw them, his sphincter tightened in preparation, as he knew he was in for a hard fight.

“A Four Star Core Martial Master.”

****

“That’s right, Long Di! Uncle Jianhuren is the protector of the concubines of Savage Taitan! You are so dead! He’s a Four Star Core Martial Master within Nether Immolation War Temple!” Yue Wang sneered at my misfortune.

So that’s how it was. He is a protector of concubines. It’s miscellaneous titles like these that make cultivation novels so memorable.

He had six high-grade cauldrons and three medial-grade ones.

Boom!

The ground under Jianhuren’s feet exploded as he launched himself at me with a claw strike!

They glistened with a cold light, and I was barely able to dodge the strike in time!

Bang!

He passed me by with a crash and I could feel a warm stream of blood running down my face.

“So I take it you’re no longer trying to capture me, is that right?” I asked him as I held my sabre in a defensive stance.

“Hmph!” he snorted at me. I wonder if a booger ever flew out from their nose after doing that so much.

“You’re much too dangerous to be kept around! My job might be to protect the concubines, but I still have a duty to the sect.”

He fired off a kick after replying, but I already had my defences up!

Smash!

The blow landed on the sabre’s broadside, sending even more webs of cracks spreading across its surface.

“Seems like the bronze sabre of the Iron Body Forge Sect lives up to its reputation as a weapon of a seat, even if it’s the lowest of them. Doesn’t seem like it’ll last much longer, though!”

Jianhuren rushed me again after deducing the origin of the sabre, unleashing a bevvy of strikes in my direction!

Shu! Shu! Shu!

Bang!

Another hit landed owing to his greater speed! The bronze sabre was on its last leg.

Bang!

P-P-Pling!

If that went over anyone’s head, that was the aforementioned last leg of the sabre. It burst apart in an explosion of flying bronze fragments.

Seeing that I was weaponless put a broad smile on the faces of Yue Wang and Liao Meng.

Even the experts and the further away disciples were watching with an expression of joy, as if the very sight of battle tickled their fancy. The freakiness was strong in these people.

“Now die!”

Uncle Jianhuren brought his hand to kill me once and for all.

However, he didn’t expect that I would…

Plang!

His blow landed on and destroyed an orange-ranked sword!

“What the—”

He looked at me with an odd expression as I fished out another weapon from my storage rings (I may have corpse-robbed the bodies of the elders and the disciples… I regret nothing).

This time, it was a fan, hardly similar to the one that Zi Yu used.

“No matter!”

He spurred his cauldrons to rotate at a blinding speed as he furiously circulated his somatic essence, which reminded me.

‘Suppression!’

My cauldrons were already out, and they released an unreal level of pressure that burst forth on his cauldrons.

They slowed down immensely, which put an expression of shock on his face. I should let it be known that the amount of pressure I’ve been able to put out seems to increase the more familiar I grow doing it.

“To think you’re able to affect me despite my higher cultivation base. I knew it. You’re much too dangerous to be kept alive!”

Shu!

He shot in my direction like a cannonball with an odd hand sign that blazed with somatic essence!

I waved the metallic fan I had in hand since I had no other choice.

Plang!

He destroyed it with a single attack, so I took another one out of the storage rings. Because of the high stakes situation, I had no idea what it was before taking it out. I could only recognise its vague shadow that signified its hopefully offensive properties.

Another sword!

Pling!

Halberd!

Plang!

Spear!

P-Plang!

Mace!

Ka-Pling!

Buttplug!

Pop!

Flail!

Bam!

“Enough!” Uncle Jianhuren was beginning to lose his patience. “How many weapons do you have!?”

“Haaah, haaah, haah…” I struggled to catch my breath at the sudden respite.

“Oh, I have weapons for days,” I told him.

“Weapons for days!?” he questioned.

“Weapons for days,” I answered him.

That was a lie-ish. I was at the end of my rope as far as weapons go. Not that it would matter since he destroyed everything that I threw at him. One of the earlier weapons I used was at the black rank too… I won’t say which one it was.

“Fine, then!” He grit his teeth… I’m assuming in irritation. “Then I’ll just ground down your arsenal!”

Saying this, he executed several hand signs that caused a rune to appear on the back of his hands. They shone with a radiant silver light that was visible from far away… I’m assuming.

I broke out into a run after him with another weapon in tow, hoping to interrupt whatever it was he was preparing. You see, I am not a certain yellow-haired, monkey-tailed MC.

“Long Di, he’s a Zhu demon! Normal weapons don’t work on him!” Zi Yu blurted out.

“Shut up!” Yue Wang ran up to Zi Yu and slapped her to silence her.

“Ptu!” she spat out the blood the slap spilt. “You hit like a bitc—”

“Shut up!”

Pa!

“Crap baskets!” I said under my breath. “You couldn’t say this earlier?”

Not gonna lie, I only had ‘normal’ weapons at my disposal. So because he’s like living metal, I can’t use normal weapons? What sense does that even make?

Man, I wish I could forge his metal ass just like I do with…

I think my eyes widened.

No way!

A thought came to me in that instant and I switched out the weapon I took out earlier for an old rusty hammer.

“To forge his metal ass. I hope this works.”

Zi Yu paled when she saw what I whipped out. Man, that sounds dirty.

Her expression told me that she was asking herself. Did he think that if normal weapons didn’t work, then trash would!?

“Hahahaaha!” Yue Wang nearly keeled over in laughter when she saw what I was using to attack this Uncle Jianhuren.

She was joined shortly by Liao Meng, who lost sight of herself and laughed at the ‘joke’ of a weapon I took out.

“W-Was he knocked around till he turned stupid or something!?”

Even the disciples and experts couldn’t help themselves from commenting.

However, Uncle Jianhuren detected a feeling of dread from the old hammer. He hesitated for a second before choosing to stop the execution of the hand signs to defend against my attack.

But it was too late. That earlier hesitation gave me all the time I needed.

At this point, I already switched over to using somatic essence and activated the Profound Myriad Heavenseize Physique to pour in the remaining tribulation lightning I saved without reserve!

Breaking Mundane Forging Heaven! First Forging. Untempered Fifth Temper!’

Shu! Shu! Shu!

Hammer shadows filled the area around Uncle Jianhuren until a single blow landed on his body in an instant!

Not yet!

‘Sixth Temper!’

The hammerhead flickered with tribulation lightning before cruelly landing on Uncle Jianhuren’s face!

By the way, cruelly is being used VERY loosely here.

Bam!

Uncle Jianhuren flew back at an insane speed!

Boom!

He crashed into a wall at the far end of the square!

Yue Wang, Zi Yu, Liao Meng, and just about everyone else that laughed felt their laughter get caught in their throats.

Suck it, you plebeians!

“Is he d-dead?”

“N-No way.”

“He can’t be…”

Everyone took a step back in the face of my awesomeness.

“H-He just one shot a Four Star Core Martial Master with a broken-looking hammer!” someone said.

If you’re wondering why I didn’t tear my body a new one with the Sixth Temper, it’s because the Firth Temper, as unrestrained as it was, landed on Jianhuren’s body. That allowed the Sixth Temper to be tempered somewhat.

I love it when a good plan comes together.

I then looked at Yue Wang, who took several more steps back in fear.

“G-Get away from me, you monster!”

I wasn’t concerned with her at the moment. As far as I’m concerned, she wasn’t going to escape my grasp.

I then turned my attention to Zi Yu and proceeded to untie her bindings.

She was silent the entire time, only staring at me with a blank expression.

She was silent for a while, not knowing exactly what to say, “I—”

Bang!

The previously unmoving rock pile exploded as a figure emerged with a furious expression.

When everyone saw who it was, their expressions finally relaxed.

It was Uncle Jianhuren, whose metallic face was smashed in!

Silver liquid leaked from several places and grey lightning flickered all over, which caused his face to twitch in those places.

Goodness. I dare say he has seen better days.

Forging techniques are his bane. Good to know.

“Booooy!!”

“Yeeeeesss???” I answered him.

Bam!

He launched himself in my direction much faster without any warning.

“Move!”

I only had enough time to shove Zi Yu out of the way before Uncle Jianhuren was upon me!

“One Thousand Mountains!”

A palm descended with a pressure that caused my bones to creak!

‘Crap!’

I had stopped unleashing the suppression of my cauldrons some time ago, which allowed this old undying cockroach to erupt with his full strength.

Even the disciples in the distance were affected by the overbearing weight of Uncle Jianhuren’s attack.

Pffft wimps.

Most of the disciples, Yue Wang and Liao Meng included, had to retreat even further away since they were still being affected by the residual forces in the outer area of the attack’s radius.

Lucky them, yet here I am taking it all on.

Uncle Jianhuren didn’t end it here. He channelled even more somatic essence into his palm!

“Die!”

Boom!

An explosion went off at another location, drawing everyone’s attention. I knew I calculated that correctly.

“Finally.”

“Meow.”
