The tall one walked to the front. He wore a scholar's robe and looked like a great sage. For a moment, Lu Ping almost mistook him as Enlightened Master Jiang Xuan-Lin.

Behind the tall man was a long-necked youth with a singular horn on his head. He looked curiously everywhere, as if it was his first time out in the world.

When they arrived at the central cloud, the tall man bowed slightly, and greeted, "Great Ancestor, forgive Yan Wu-Jiu for coming uninvited."

Great Ancestor Hong Ye slightly leaned forward in return, and said, "Fellow Yan, it is our Northern League's honor to have you here!"

Then, the Great Ancestor raised his hand to invite Yan Wu-Jiu to have a seat. Yan Wu-Jiu pointed to the young cultivator behind him, and said, "This is the disciple I accepted some years ago, he is quite talented at alchemy. I intended on letting him join the others, so that he could learn from them, but we’re unexpectedly late and didn't make it before the conference began. I hope the Great Ancestor can make an exception and let him join from the second stage."

Great Ancestor Hong Ye was slightly surprised upon hearing the pleading tone of Yan Wu-Jiu's words. He looked at the young cultivator, and then said, "Since Fellow Yan has asked this, I have no reason not to allow it. But I do wonder what the other Enlightened Masters think?"

Enlightened Master Kun Shan and the others looked at each other. They simply didn't dare to say no to the Great Ancestor, so they said, "It is all up to the Great Ancestor's command."

Although the alchemists weren’t happy with the young monster alchemist's addition to the Alchemy Conference, no one was stupid enough to object to the Great Ancestor's decision.

Whilst Lu Ping was puzzled as to why a monster alchemist would suddenly be involved in the conference, that was beyond his status. After all, Lu Ping was just a rogue cultivator here and was nothing compared to the major powers of the East Ocean. He wasn't even fit to be a pawn for them.
